CHINESE INK
Chinese ink paintings are spontaneous.
A brush is held poised above the paper -
then the speeding brush comes down to the paper and the painting begins.
An empty mind is held throughout the entire painting process.
What evolves is a piece of art that is beyond conscious awareness.
Consciousness of the art work returns when the piece is finished and
I stare at it in amazement wondering how it landed on the paper.
